Track: PLEIN was the opening performance of the 23/24 season, in which Wunderbaum, together with around 50 musicians, performers, urban planners, sociology students, residents, passers-by, and audience members, explores the question: what is an ideal square, and what is not? An afternoon or evening in which visitors are taken into a choreography of surprising and unexpected everyday moments. Exclusively presented at the Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam.

Track: PLEIN begins with a shared meal in the foyer of Theater Rotterdam at tables set by Rotterdam residents, served by rapid-delivery couriers from the MBO Theatre School. You then put on headphones, and we head to the Schouwburgplein where you hear the stories of the square. An experience in which bleak reality, imagined worlds, and failed architecture merge into one. Square residents see homeless people showering in the fountains on the square, businesspeople slow down, and an elderly visitor to the Koopgoot suffers a heart attack. The track ends with a party! One thing is certain: you will never look at the Schouwburgplein the same way again.
