Swing, Swung, Swung is a sculpture of a swing seemingly frozen mid-motion. Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, when life itself felt paused, the work has since become a broader symbol of time standing still.
The suspended swing evokes youth and playfulness, a fleeting period rushing toward adulthood. By capturing this carefree moment, the work attempts to halt the passage of time. Yet this creates a paradox: by freezing the swing, play becomes impossible. An object designed for movement now invites a different kind of play, one that unfolds entirely in the imagination.
